In this episode Greg and Darren speak with Kyle Mitchell of Limitless Estates. Kyle literally wrote the book on asset management; it’s called Best in Class.
Whether you are self-managing or using a third party, the honeymoon ends quickly after the close. Now you must run a business. Kyle shares his slightly different approach to the first 90 days of ownership, for him it begins before closing. They also talk about the tradeoffs between third party management and doing it yourself, much of that has to do with the scale and trade-offs involved.
Asset management is an incredibly project specific part of any real estate business. What works for one project, might not work for another just a few blocks away. If you’ve found it difficult to get into the particulars of what it takes, Best in Class and this discussion may shed some light for you.
We hope you enjoy listening and if you think of someone who might enjoy it as well, we appreciate you passing it along.
